It is rare that one is invited to a tea party anymore which is a shame. Tea parties are a lovely way to spend an afternoon with friends and family. A traditional tea party is a wonderful way to celebrate a variety of occasions such as a birthday, mother’s day or even a bridal shower. They are not difficult to plan and the result is usually a smash.

Tea Time Tables

Decorating the tables for your guests should be your top priority. Decorations will also depend upon whether you are hosting your tea party indoors or out. If you are having your tea party outdoors in the spring, then focus on that theme. You can decorate your tables with hues of pink, yellow and baby blue tablecloths. You can use watering cans to hold springtime floral bouquets and use packets of seeds as favors.

If your tea party is to be indoors, use the season or the nearest holiday as your theme and decorate accordingly. Candles in a variety of sizes and scents will brighten the decor. You can match your table linens to the season and the time of year. You will want each of the tables to have a centerpiece using floral pieces that focus on flowers that are currently in bloom.
